How soon can Intelligent Debt Solutions begin my settlement program?

Once you have fully retained our services, IDS will establish contact with your creditors and will begin the settlement process. Please bear in mind we can only completely settle your debts once you have the funds available in your settlement account.

I am on a fixed monthly income. Can I still participate in the program?

Will my creditors continue to contact me?

Once you have retained our services, we will contact your creditors to notify them you have enrolled in our settlement program and now represent you. We will present each creditor with legal documents requiring them to cease communications with you. This should stop the harassing phone calls and letters, however, there is no guarantee it will stop every call or letter. Should there be additional contact from your creditors call your IDS representative and we will proceed accordingly. The Fair Debt Collections Act is a great resource to help you understand your rights in dealing with the ways creditors contact you.

Who do I call if I have a question about the program or a problem with a creditor?

Once you have joined the IDS family, you will be able to contact your personal representative handling your case. You can speak directly with them whenever you need to discuss anything regarding your case.

Do I have to include all of my creditors into the program for settlement?

No. You can keep any accounts out of the settlement program you wish. At Intelligent Debt Solutions, we will evaluate your financial situation and can advise you on the best way to proceed with an account you may want to withhold.

How long will it take for me to complete the program?

It typically takes about 24 to 36 months to complete our program and be debt free including all fees. However this time frame could be much shorter depending on your individual situation and your creditors.
